Data Privacy Notices
How we use Parents' and Children's information
Under UK data protection law, individuals have a right to be informed about how the school uses any personal data that we hold about them. We comply with this right by providing ‘privacy notices’ (sometimes called ‘fair processing notices’) to individuals where we are processing their personal data.
Osborne Nursery School has privacy notices that explain how we collect, store and use personal data about:
- parents and carers of pupils at our school – Privacy Notice
- pupils at our school – Privacy Notice
- governors – Privacy Notice
- visitors to school (including volunteers) – Privacy Notice
These are available to view via the links above, however if you would like a paper copy of any privacy notice, please ask at the school office.
The privacy notices give details of how information is:
- collected from parents and others
- stored (electronically or in paper form)
- shared and who it is shared with
They also explain:
- why the school needs to collect the information and what it is used for
- your rights in regard to the personal information we hold about you and your child
- how to make a complaint if you think that our collection or use of personal information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate
If you have any questions about how we use your child’s or your own personal information please contact the school office and ask for an appointment to see the head teacher, Sharon Eeles who has day-to-day responsibility for data protection issues in our school.
